Honoring the Unsung Heroes and Heroines of the Civil Rights Movement in Natchez, MS

This annual public event will honor civil rights activists who  played a vital role in the movement but did not receive the attention or recognition that was given to other more prominent participants. The activists will be honored with a plaque that lists each of their names. During the program, the activists will be asked to share their memories of the movement. This event will include a guest speaker, Ms. Dora P. Hawkins, Trustee Emeritus of Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
