Why Believe This Rather Than That?

Isn’t any opinion as good as any other?   After all, I am ENTITLED to my opinion, right?  This presentation explores the basic issue of whether the concepts ‘True’ and ‘False’ matter anymore, and if they do not, why not; and if they do matter, how so, and how do we help garner TRUTH over FASITY in our own lives and in the greater community?

 Dr. Ted Ammon, Ph.D. has served as an associate professor of philosophy at Millsaps College for over thirty years. Dr. Ammon recently presented his talk ‘Should I Really Ask, “What Can I Do for My Country?”’ at Northeast Mississippi Community College for one of their speakers’ series. Dr. Ammon was also the editor of the 2016 release of the book David Bowie and Philosophy: Rebel Rebel.
