America250 Mississippi – Spark! at Utica Opening Celebration

Spark! is a Smithsonian exhibit focusing on innovations in rural communities. In our grand opening celebration, you’ll hear from Utica Mayor Calvin Williams, along with the co-founders of the Utica-based Mississippi Center for Cultural Production, Carlton and Brandi Turner. Carlton and Brandi will discuss their work in the town and the ways in which the arts and humanities inform life in a small town. After the talk, tour the Spark exhibit! All events will take place in the Bobby G. Cooper Fine Arts Center on the Hinds Community College-Utica campus.
