HTA – The Internet – Past, Present, and Future

Humanities Teacher Award winner Ron Wilson (Southwest Mississippi Community College) will present his public lecture, “The Internet – Past, Present, and Future.” Presentation will be held in the Horace C. Holmes Student Union Auditorium. Reception to follow.

This presentation will consist of an overview of the history and development of the Internet from the 1960’s to present day, a look at the infrastructure that makes up the internet, a discussion of some of the cultural impacts of the internet, and some considerations of what the future of the internet might hold.
