Tolliver-Cook’s lecture\, Service to Others: A Christian Perspective on Social Work Values\, will be presented 2/20/25 at 12:30 pm on the college’s campus in Dumas Hall Lecture Room 107. The presentation explores the alignment between Christian teachings and the core values of the social work profession by focusing on the theme of service to others. Attendees will gain insights on how to apply these values to create meaningful\, positive impacts in their communities. \nTolliver-Cook will be among those honored at the Mississippi Humanities Council Awards Ceremony March 28\, 2025 at the Two Mississippi Museums in Jackson. The event pays tribute to outstanding faculty in traditional humanities fields at each of the state’s institutions of higher learning.
