SUMMARY:Ideas on Tap: Investing in Green
DESCRIPTION:On December 11\, join the Mississippi Humanities Council for a special December edition of Ideas on Tap. \n“Ideas on Tap: Investing in Green” will focus on the relationship between environmentalism and economic development. Is it possible for the two to exist in harmony? How do we prioritize one over the other? We’ll look at local examples like the One Lake proposal to help understand the issues. Hear from Tray Hairston\, an attorney who specializes in economic development; Jill Mastrototaro\, policy director for Audubon Mississippi; and others. \nThis Ideas on Tap will take place in conjunction with the Smithsonian Museum on Main Street traveling exhibit “Water/Ways\,” sponsored by the MHC and on display at the Mississippi Agriculture & Forestry Museum in Jackson December 7 through January 19. \nBe sure to come out for this special holiday edition of Ideas on Tap to celebrate “Water/Ways” before it leaves town.
