SUMMARY:Water/Ways @ Ag Museum: MS River Basin Model Presentation
DESCRIPTION:On January 12\, the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum will present a free and open to the public presentation about the Mississippi River Basin Model. The program will feature Sarah McEwen\, president of the Friends of the Mississippi River Basin Model\, who will discuss the history of the model\, its uses\, and its importance today. \nThis program takes place in conjunction with Water/Ways\, a traveling exhibit offered by the Museum on Main Street division of the Smithsonian Institution and sponsored by the Mississippi Humanities Council. The exhibit explores water’s connection to all aspects of our society\, including the endless motion of the water cycle\, water’s effect on landscape\, settlement and migration\, and its impact on culture and spirituality. \nFuture Water/Ways events in Jackson:\nJanuary 19\, 10am-2pm: Enviroscape Table interactive display
